Melanie Vargas has over 20 years of human resources experience in the areas of organizational development, facilitation and team building, M&A, strategic planning, recruitment, compensation, benefits, and the implementation of HR practices.  She is passionate about creating pathways for people to be their best and building organizational cultures with intention. 

Melanie's most recent in-house role was Chief People Officer at Wagly, Inc.  For the last ten years, Melanie's consulting practice has focused on early to mid-stage, global and domestic companies.  For the first ten years of her career, Melanie held senior management in-house roles in human resources for Sprint Nextel, CapitalStream, Inc. and LifeSpex, Inc. 

Throughout her human resources career, Melanie has worked in many industries including, technology, biotechnology, wireless and gaming. Melanie is a member of the Society of Human Resources and has achieved certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).  Melanie is a certified SwiftLeadership™ and DISC facilitator.
