Shawn Henning is a Senior Project Manager at Deloitte Digital. He has over 20 years experience in building software. He has a passion for making the world accessible to people of all ability levels and is an advocate for the user no matter how they interact with software. His passion goes beyond work as he is also a user of assistive technologies having lost the majority of his vision suddenly in 2013.

At Deloitte Digital he leads agile teams delivering mobile applications and responsive websites. He holds PMI-ACP and PSM I certifications in Agile Methodologies. He also provides direct perspective as a screen reader user to all aspects of Deloitte Digital's software development process.

Shawn is a member of the American Council of the Blind (ACB) and  Washington Council of the Blind (WCB). He participates in multiple chapters within the WCB. He is a frequent participant in multiple Meet-Up groups for blind and low vision individuals including a general interest group and a  technology meet-up group open to any person interested in discussion of technology used by blind and low-vision people. He volunteers on the King County Elections Disability Advisory Committee.
