Dug Song is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Duo Security, a cloud-based trusted access provider protecting thousands of the world’s largest and fastest growing organizations. Duo is one of the fastest growing software-as-a-service (SaaS) providers in the world. Dug and co-founder and chief technology officer, Jon Oberheide, led the company to $73 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in 2016, the fourth straight year Duo has more than doubled its ARR. Founded in 2010, Duo’s easy-to-use Trusted Access technology can be quickly deployed to protect users, data and applications from breaches, credential theft and account takeover. The Ann Arbor, Michigan-based company has 400 employees with offices in San Mateo, California; Austin, Texas and London. Duo is backed by Benchmark, Google Ventures, Radar Partners, Redpoint Ventures and True Ventures. Dug is a renowned hacker and leading voice in the information security industry. He is often quoted on cybersecurity issues by international media, as well as onstage at industry events around the world. Prior to launching Duo, Dug spent seven years as founding Chief Security Architect at Arbor Networks, protecting 80 percent of the world’s Internet service providers, and helping to grow the company to $120M+ annual revenue before its acquisition by Danaher. He also built the first commercial network anomaly detection system, acquired by Check Point Software Technologies. Dug is an active member of a2newtech, Tech Brewery, a2skatepark and the Entrepreneurs' Foundation of Ann Arbor. He earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Michigan.
